If the vendor info is correct it is the carrier board connection that we are experiencing trouble with. However, the header where they physically plug in is on the carrier board for both. According to the vendor, one network connection is attached to the processor board and the other is attached to the carrier board. The computer we have is a '2-board' set up (processor board and carrier board). We are some what limitted in this regard, but I think we can rearrange it a little at least for test purposes.Р”Р„s far as your seperate network cards question.both network connections are on the computer. We will try to re-arange the PC104 stack. Could it still be a timing issue between the computer we are using and the compact flash? Maybe the platter drive operating system boots differently.Р”Р„ny suggestions at all would be appreciated. From what we have seen today it seems to be a issue with booting any image on any compact flash. One complication is that tomorrow we may try the same thing and not be able to get the network connection to drop at all. Do you have any suggestions of what we might try.

We need to be able to use both network connections but we can't until we can be sure that they will load properly upon bootup. We have racked our brains and can't come up with a solution. We then installed a different SimpleTech 2GB CF with a Full XP Pro embedded image (this is supposedly just like XP Proffesional). Rebooted with Transcend and only one network connection appeared.Р”РЋ2.

We a running the same image on both compact flash other than the SimpleTech image is set up for 2GB instead of 1GB.Р”В©. After the second boot on the Transcend both network connections reappeared.Р”РЃ. I then installed the original Transcend 1GB compact flash and it also booted with only one network connection.Р”В§. I removed the platter harddrive and booted to the SimpleTech compact flash again.

I installed a PC104 platter harddrive running a full version of XP on the top of my stack. At around 2:30 pm the computer booted up with only one network.Р”В¤. I left the computer running and ocassionally rebooted to check for dropping the network.Р”Р€. Booted to SimpleTech compact flash running XPembedded image. In trying to narrow down the culprit I followed the following steps:Р”РЋ. I purchased a new compact flash (2GB SimpleTech). In the last month I have tried a few different things, but I am still experiencing the same problem.
